Chapter 9

Chalondra checked her bedside clock and realized that it was morning. She felt the pressing need to use the restroom. It didn’t take long before the event of the previous night came rushing back. She turned to her side and found the evidence of her night of passion peacefully sleeping beside her. The night had been explosive. Chalondra smiled as she thought of the two times they had buried themselves in passion after the first time. Slowly, she rose to her feet and shifted to the side of the bed. Her va*ina felt sore, but it wasn’t painful. She was about to place her feet on the ground when David woke from his sleep and said, “Going somewhere?”

Chalondra turned to face him, and she smiled when she saw the frown on his face. “I want to use the restroom,” Chalondra said and watched as David visibly relaxed.

“I thought you were trying to sneak away,” David said, and Chalondra winced. She knew David was making reference to the time on his yacht.

“Was it that bad?” Chalondra asked.

“Yes,” David said.

“I thought of different things. I was worried about your safety because some of the staff told me you left in the early hours of the morning. I had to call Nick, and he told me you gave a call that you wouldn’t be able to make it to work. Then, the thought of what I had possibly done wrong set in. It was all too much for me,” David said.

“I’m sorry,” Chalondra said.

“It’s fine. We are past that,” David said as he shrugged.

“I have to go now,” Chalondra said as she rushed to the adjoining bathroom. It took a few minutes before she did her business and returned to the bedroom. By the time she returned, David was sitting up with his back against the headboard of the bed while the lower part of his body was covered with the bedspread. He had his arms folded beneath his head, making his biceps more obvious. Chalondra started feeling her cl*toris pulse as she stared at him. He looked like a fine specimen, and she couldn’t wait to gobble him up.

“Do you like what you see?” David asked as he winked at her.

“What do you think?” Chalondra asked as she advanced towards the bed. In spite of the fact that she was a little bit sore, she couldn’t help the hunger she started feeling again. David made her insatiable.

Chalondra smiled as she reached the bed and slowly climbed on top of it.

It was at this point Chalondra rose from the bed and grabbed one of her loose tops before she wore it.  She left the bedroom and headed for the front door.

“Chalondra!” Natasha called out as Chalondra reached the door.

“I’m coming,” Chalondra said as she pulled the door open.

“Goodness! Where the hell have you been? I’ve been knocking on your door and calling your phone,” Natasha said as she entered Chalondra’s apartment.

“I’m sorry about that. However, I thought you said you extended your trip, so I didn’t think you would be coming,” Chalondra said as she shut the door.

“Forgive me for trying to spring a surprise on you,” Natasha said as she rolled her eyes.

“I’m sorry,” Chalondra said.

“What happened? You aren’t a heavy sleeper,” Natasha said as she gave Chalondra a suspicious look. “Speaking of which, you don’t look like you are just waking up,” Natasha said.

“Well…” Chalondra started as she took a seat on her couch.

“He is around,” Natasha said as her eyes caught one of David’s shoes carelessly flung around. She watched as Chalondra nodded, and she almost let out a squeal. “My goodness! I interrupted something, didn’t I?” Natasha asked.

“You could say that,” Chalondra said as she shrugged. She bit her lower lip to keep her from smiling as she recalled the look on David’s face when he realized she wasn’t going to complete what she had started.

“Oh my! I’m sorry. I thought I should visit you as early as possible before you would leave for work. Why are you smiling?” Natasha asked with a suspicious look.

“Nothing, I just remembered something,” Chalondra said as she shrugged.

“Are you sure? I can come back later,” Natasha said with a frown.
