Chalondra had never felt totally out of control of herself before. She found herself wanting to caress David’s stumble and thinking of how his hard lips would feel against hers. She couldn’t explain the surge of desire that was going through her. She had found herself imagining crazy things like David being a different man who truly wanted something with her throughout the past few days. However, she knew better than to believe that because they had gotten close through phone calls that he wasn’t a playboy anymore.
David guided her inside his Aston Martin, and Chalondra was surprised. She knew David was rich, but she hadn’t given it a second thought before.
The air seemed to sizzle as David got inside the Aston Martin after he helped her in.
“Where are we headed?” Chalondra asked to break the tension in the car. She found it almost impossible to resist the urge to touch David. She wondered why she was acting as s*x-starved as she was.
“My yacht,” he said, and Chalondra’s eyes widened.
“You have a yacht?” she questioned, and he shrugged like it was nothing new. He refrained from telling her that she was the first woman he would be taking on his yacht. It was one of his most prized possessions; hence he treated it with care. However, he had found himself unable to treat Chalondra the same way he had treated the others.
“Yes. I thought it would be a perfect spot if we want privacy. I know how the tabloids can be, and I don’t want something that would make you uncomfortable,” David said as he glanced in her direction. Chalondra felt more drawn to David as she thought of how he always cared about her opinion. He was totally different from the man in the media.
“If you want another restaurant, I can fix that,” David said.
“No, your yacht is fine. I just didn’t think I would ever get to go one one,” Chalondra said, and this caused a smile to grace David’s face. Chalondra took a sharp intake of breath as she stared at David’s handsome features. She found herself increasingly losing her guard around him.
“I’m glad I would give you your first experience on it,” David said, and this caused Chalondra to smile. He turned on the ignition of his car and headed for his yacht. They got there within a few minutes, and David led Chalondra in. A few staff were waiting to welcome then as David led her to where a table had been set.
“This is beautiful,” Chalondra said as she stared around.
“I’m glad you think so,” David said as he took a seat opposite her. “What would you like to have?” David asked.
“Anything is fine,” Chalondra said as she shrugged.
“Okay,” David said before he signaled for the waitresses and ordered their food. They were served in a few minutes before they were left alone.
“When you talked about taking me out on a date, I didn’t expect that you would go all out like this,” Chalondra said.
“I want to make this as memorable as possible,” David said as he locked his gaze with Chalondra.
“Why?” Chalondra whispered as she held his gaze.
“Chalondra, you are a beautiful woman. It took a while before you agreed to go on a date with me. I thought I might as well make it worthwhile,” David said as his palm covered hers across the table. Air thickened as currents passed between them at the contact. David found himself imagining pulling Chalondra across the table and covering her sultry lips with his. He couldn’t keep his eyes away from them since the day he had first seen them.
“Ahem,” Chalondra said as she pulled her palm from beneath his.
“I’m sorry for how I acted the first day,” David apologized.
“It’s fine,” Chalondra said with a shrug. She wondered if he frequently brought his women to the yacht. “Is this the usual place you bring the other girls?” Chalondra asked before she could help herself. “Forget I asked that. It’s none of my business,” Chalondra hurriedly said.
“No, it’s fine. I’ve never brought any other woman here except you,” David said as he held Chalondra’s gaze with his intense stare. This brought butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
“Tell me about yourself,” Chalondra said.
“Asides from what the tabloids have said about me?” David asked with arched brows.
“Yes, aside from that,” Chalondra said. David found himself telling Chalondra about his childhood, joining the NBA, before he finally decided to join his father’s company.
“Tell me about yourself,” David said.
“There isn’t much to say. I lost my parents years back and had to struggle to get to where I am. I have only one friend,” Chalondra said, and David frowned. He wanted her to be more open with him. However, he didn’t press it.

“Wow! I’m sorry about your parents,” David said.
“It’s fine,” Chalondra said as she shrugged.
“No, it shows I was right all along. You are one strong woman,” David said.
“Thank you,” Chalondra said before they went silent and concentrated on their food. This was impossible as they kept darting glances at each other. They ended their meal, and even though they were both reluctant to end the night, they decided to end it anyway.
“It was fun having you here,” David said as he stood and crossed the table to help Chalondra to her feet.
