Chapter 12
Andre.
It had been 2 months since Sophie had given birth to Quin and Andre found himself completely head over heels for his wife and his child. He had never felt a love as strong and as pure as the love he had for his family.
It had been a big adjustment to make but he and Sophie had managed to make everything work so smoothly. Of course, they were tired most of the time and Quin was always demanding their attention one way or another, Andre still wouldn’t change a thing. He had been blessed with the best life and he could never take that for granted. He was grateful for all the help they received from their families, each of them taking their turns to visit and help out for as long as they could. Both Andre’s mother and Sophie’s mother had shared some of their wisdom which was extremely helpful for Andre and Sophie.
They knew that it would be hard at first and it was, but they never complained as they formed routines to make things easier when possible. Of course, the routines didn’t last long because Quin was unpredictable and would change her behavior every other day, but they tried their hardest to make things work between the two of them.
Andre extended his leave from work, knowing he would need more than 3 months with his daughter because he couldn’t leave her with Sophie. He also wanted to take a load off Sophie for a while longer because she had already done so much as in carrying his baby in the first place.
As a surprise to Sophie, he had spoken to Olivia about helping him plan the wedding. He knew that it would help take the pressure of her to plan it and he thought that Olivia knew her well enough to be able to plan a wedding she would love. Andre wanted to give Sophie the best weeding possible and so he told Olivia that there was no limit to the budget and that she should just get whatever she thought Sophie would want. Olivia took the task willingly, knowing that she could do the best job ever.
Andre told Olivia that it was a surprise and that once they were settled a little more, it would happen. So, he planned for a month ahead, sending out save the date cards to everyone he knew should be there. The month of planning flew by quickly and surprisingly Sophie hadn’t found out a single thing. He knew there was a chance that she could turn around and be mad with him for not including her, but he went with it anyway, wanting to do something nice for her. He knew that there was no chance they’d be able to go on a honeymoon yet either so he would let her choose where she wanted to go once, they were ready to leave Quin for a while with someone they trusted.
The day of the wedding arrived sooner than he had thought it would and soon Olivia was at their door doing her part in getting Sophie to the venue.
“Hey, Soph. I was thinking we could go out for lunch,” Olivia said as she entered the house.
“I can’t leave Quin,” Sophie said as she rocked Quin in her arms.
“Of course, you can. I’m here. Why don’t you go for lunch and leave her with me?” Andre asked.
“Are you sure? You haven’t left the house in a while either,” she replied.
“I’m sure. I’ll have my turn soon I’m sure,” Andre replied as he walked over and took Quin into his arms.
“Um, okay. As long as you’re sure,” Sophie said hesitantly.
“I’m sure, now go shower and get out of here,” Andre said.
Sophie nodded her head quickly and rushed to the bathroom. Andre knew that Sophie didn’t want to be away from Quin which was why she was so hesitant about leaving. He couldn’t deny the fact that they didn’t want to be away from Quin because she was still so small, and they just loved her too much to be apart from her, but Andre also knew that he would soon leave the house with Quin buckled up safely in his car to meet everyone waiting at the venue.
He had arranged for his mother to take Quin while he got ready. He waited patiently for Sophie to get ready and leave, knowing that he would see her in just over an hour as she would be walking down the aisle to meet him at the altar.
As they left Andre shared a quick glance at Olivia who gave him a wink.
“See you later,” he called as he watched them leave.
As soon as the coast was clear Andre grabbed the two bags he had packed and hidden, one for Quin so his mother would have everything she needed to look after her and one for him that had everything, he needed to get ready, his suit was already at the venue waiting for him just as Sophie’s dress was waiting for her with a makeup artist and a hairdresser.
Andre had been amazed at how much thought Olivia had put into everything, she had literally left no stone unturned as she planned for everything.
Andre buckled Quin in her car seat before he got into the car and left the house. He drove carefully and calmly to the venue even though his heart was beating out of his chest. He could’ve sworn that it could be visible through his shirt.
Once he arrived at the venue, he was met by his mother who took Quin and the bag he had packed for her.
“Go get ready my boy,” his mother said as she walked off with Quin.
Andre could feel the yearning in his heart to take her back into his arms but he moved quickly as he found his way to his changing station so he could get ready. His brother was already in the room when Andre got there.
“Are you ready?” he asked his brother.
“Yeah, I just need to shower quickly,” Andre replied.

Max showed him the shower before he left Andre in the bathroom alone. He showered and checked himself over in the mirror as he continued getting ready. He gave himself a quick shave and made his hair, wanting to look as good as possible. Andre couldn’t believe that the day for him to marry the love of his life had finally arrived. Of course, they were technically already married but he knew how important it was for his family and for Sophie’s family to have a fancy wedding to showcase the marriage.
He didn’t care about the event itself, he already knew that he and Sophie were together forever, but he wasn’t doing the wedding for him, but he was doing it for Sophie and the rest of the guests that had been invited.
He took a quick look around the venue just to see exactly what Olivia had planned as he hadn’t had much involvement in everything. He was surprised to see just how stunning the place looked, he knew that even if he had tried, he wouldn’t have been able to pull something as amazing as this.
“Is everyone here?” he asked his brother.
“Everyone is here. Sophie arrived not that long ago as well so she should be getting ready as we speak,” Max said.
