Chapter 6
Raphael looked at me with a sickened glance, pointing his finger at me.
“You little tramp. Don’t you think you’re a bit too young to be playing with guns like that?” he said. It was one of the most condescending sounds I’ve ever heard. I hated it, and it made me even angrier.
‘Well, you don’t deserve it either. You’re old and boring,” I stated.
The man looked at me with anger present on his face. “Do you really think you should be saying something like that? Do you?” he asked.
“Well I just did. What the hell are you going to do about it?” I asked. I knew taunting him might not be the smartest idea, but it was worth a shot. Besides, I could already see the annoyance and anger plastered on his face, so it was getting even better.
“Probably kill you. But first, I would like to see what my new apprentice has in store for you. This is Ryan. You probably know him, don’t you Alice. He was so heartbroken about the breakup that he came to me. I told him about how you slept with Donte while you were still with him, and he believed it. Now he’s one of my best servants, and he’s certainly stronger than your scrawny little behind,” he said.
“That’s a lie! I never cheated on you Ryan. I only slept with him after we broke up! And even then, it was a while after,” I admitted.
“Bullsh*t. You are in love with him already. After being with me. I can’t believe it,” Ryan said.
“Please. You have to believe me,” I said. I didn’t want to sound like a beggar, but if he wasn’t going to listen to logic and reasoning, I would hit him with a good dose of pleading.
The guy looked at me, and at first I thought that he might actually take the plea I gave him into consideration. Ryan did listen to me at times when it came to fighting. But then, I saw a smile start to course across his face. He wasn’t even trying to listen to me anymore.
“You’re so cute Alice. To think I’m going to listen to you as you beg for me to listen to your fake little apologies. I know you didn’t do anything like that. You wanted to get rid of me because you wanted to sleep with your little fu*k buddy more. And now you’re in love. Please, you’re so full of sh*t I can’t believe you’re trying to do this right now. It’s so pathetic I can’t take it anymore,” he said.
I hated hearing this. I really did. I wanted him to listen to me, to understand that I didn’t leave him because I cheated. I never did cheat. I waited until I was broken up with Ryan to even try anything with Donte. And at first, our relationship wasn’t even like that. But I could tell at this point that I wasn’t talking to reason. Instead, I was talking to a deranged maniac who didn’t seem to understand that I wasn’t lying to him. Oh well.
“Well, if you don’t believe me then fight me!” I yelled.
Donte looked at me, a gaze of worry present on his face. “Do you think you can take him?” he asked.
“Hell yes. Don’t worry about me Donte, I have this in the bag,” I said. I grabbed my gun and started to run towards him. The two of us fought with our claws and our punches, both of us strong. I just needed one good hit in order to take him down, and I knew if I did this right, I would be able to say that I killed him. I put the gun in there as we wrestled with each other, both of us able to claw the other. I was able to land a punch in his stomach, and when I did that, he roared with pain. I then moved away, preparing my gun and aiming it at him. All of a sudden, he shot back up and headed towards me again, hitting me straight on. I fell down, the gun falling from my hands. I tried to move, but he pinned my arms down. I struggled, but I was stuck there.
“It’s so cute seeing you like this. Did Donte ever pin you like this? Because I’m sure being the sl*t that you are, you probably would love this sort of thing,” he said.
I was getting angrier by the second at every mention of that word. I’m not a sl*t, and he has this whole thing totally wrong. I hated it, and it was starting to get to me.
“You… bas*ard!” I yelled. I moved my feet up, giving him a swift kick in the taint. He fell back, grabbing his family jewels and sobbing. I can’t believe I kicked him there, but it worked. I moved over towards my gun again, grabbing it and getting ready to load it. I tried to shot it, but it kept clicking as I tried to fire it.
“The safety’s on,” Ryan said. He lunged at me again, knocking me over. I felt myself spit up blood. He stepped on top of me, jumping on me. I screamed as I felt my rib crack. I wasn’t going to give up though.
“How about this?” I yelled. I grabbed his legs and swung them into the ground, amazed at the sheer vampire strength I had now. He roared in pain, and when I saw him bowl over I noticed that he wasn’t going to be getting up anytime soon. This might actually work, and I knew this might be the one chance I had at stopping him. I walked over and kicked him in the head once again, pulling his neck back and snapping his spine. He yelled, and at that point I grabbed the gun. I pulled the safety off and moved myself over to his head. I stuck the gun in there and smiled at him.
“You’re going back to where you belong Ryan. I’m done. This is the end, at least for you,’ I said.
The guy was writhing in pain, and at first I felt bad. I didn’t want to have to do this to a guy I used to be with, but I didn’t know that guy anymore. He wasn’t the ex I used to know, he was now a monster.

I pulled the trigger on the gun, the reverberating sound of the bullet smashing the guy filling the air, it was a silver bullet, and I did blow out his brains, so there was no way he was coming back. I looked over at Donte, who was sad to see him go. It was hard on me too, but he wasn’t the ex that used to have an issue with me anymore. He was one of Raphael’s men, and he was just standing in my way of finally freeing us from this.
We looked over at Raphael, who was in shock over the whole fight. He probably never thought one of his own would die at the hands of a woman. I looked over at Donte, who had a proud smile on his face. At least one of them was happy for what I did.
I got up, running over to Donte and hugging him. He hugged me back, smiling at the way I looked up at him. He probably never expected something like this. Well, I am a girl of many surprises.
“You’re amazing babe,” he said.
“Thanks. Now that he’s out of the way though, it’s time to take out the leader,” I replied.
