Chapter 8

Chantal woke up the next morning feeling surprisingly fresh. She didn’t feel hungover at all. She was not all that surprised. She had not drunk all that much last night, she had only been slightly tipsy.

Michael had not had to stop, she had not been so drunk that he would have been taking advantage of her, but she really appreciated that he cared so much about her. She really appreciated that he wanted his time with her to be so special that he would stop even when he was so horny. A lot of men would not have done that. Indeed, most men would have just continued, throwing caution to the wind.

She had wanted him just as badly, but she agreed with him. She wanted their first time to be special too. She wanted it to mean something. She didn’t want it to be something they did in a drunken stupor. She wanted it to be something they did in order to connect with one another, in order to properly enjoy each other in a way that only people that were so utterly intimate would be able to do.

She looked around his room. It had been dark last night and she had been too preoccupied by how horny she was to truly admire what a beautiful home he had. Michael was snoring next to her. She smiled at how cute he looked while he was asleep. She kissed him softly and then got up to walk around.

She was really touched by how they had spent last night, but right now she wanted to see his home. It was a part of him, after all. It was indicative of the type of life he lived, the type of person that he was.

It was just as meticulously decorated as Chantal had been expecting. He put a lot of effort into pretty much every aspect of his life. Chantal really liked that he did so. She really liked that he would put so much effort into making his home look nice. She had had boyfriends before but none of them had been so meticulous in their decoration. It actually made her feel even more attracted to him, which was saying something because right now she was already far more attracted to him than she had been to pretty much any other man in her life.

She went downstairs and admired the living room and the entrance hallway. All of it was so utterly expensive, the wood that was used, the furniture, the arrangement. All of it seemed to speak of Michael’s immense wealth. She honestly felt a little intimidated by it. However, she liked the fact that it didn’t seem opulent at all. It was all tastefully elegant but it was not decadent at all. Michael didn’t seem like the kind of person who would simply throw his money away like that. No, he was the kind of person that would be much more tasteful about the whole thing. She liked that. She liked that he used his money so usefully, so tastefully.

When she got back upstairs she saw that Michael was stirring. She slid into the covers next to him and laid down as he awoke. He looked at her and smiled. She loved that. She loved that that was his first response as soon as he saw her. He felt like smiling because she made him feel happy. It made her feel so important, so special. It made her feel like she was enough, like she was all that he needed. She really liked feeling this way. She had honestly never felt like this before. She had never felt like she would be enough for anyone because no man in her life had ever made her feel that way. She had given up, pretty much, on ever feeling like she would be enough for a man. She thought that such things were reserved for thinner girls, for girls that conformed to more traditional standards of beauty than Chantal did. Michael was rich and handsome and so lovely and the first thing he did when he saw Chantal was smile. It was an amazing feeling.

Michael leaned forward and kissed her. “Good morning,” he said. “How long have you been up?”

“Just ten minutes,” said Chantal. “I didn’t want to wake you up so I took a look around your place. I hope that’s okay.”

“Yes, of course,” said Michael. “It’s totally okay. You look so beautiful in the morning.”

“So what do you want to do now?” asked Michael. “Do you have work today?”

“No,” said Chantal. “I just have a shift at night. I’d like to spend today with you, I mean if you want.”

“Of course I want to,” said Michael. “That would be absolutely lovely. Do you want to go out and get some breakfast?”

“Yes,” said Chantal. “That would be lovely.”

They were out having breakfast and enjoying themselves. They had gone to a less high end place this time and Chantal was kind of glad that they had. Last night had been so wonderful but she had still felt just a little bit uncomfortable because she was not used to being in places where etiquette was paid so much attention to. In this low budget diner she felt at home. She felt like she knew exactly how to behave.

They had waffles and pancakes. It was a big breakfast, which was natural because they had enjoyed each others bodies so much that morning. It was natural that it would have worked up an appetite for them.

Chantal ate a little self consciously but after seeing how much Michael was enjoying his food, not caring at all about what people would think of how fast he was eating, she eased up a little and began to enjoy the food that she was eating as well.

She covered her waffles and pancakes in maple syrup and spread butter all over them. She was so hungry, she didn’t care how many calories she was going to be consuming right now. She just wanted to enjoy this food with the man that she had just slept with. She suddenly realized that she didn’t know what to call him. It was rather odd. He had been a very good friend up until last night. Now, however, they had gone out for dinner and they had had s*x. It was a lovely feeling, but it meant that they couldn’t really call each other friends anymore as that would be quite odd considering that they had just been so intimate with each other. Even before it would have seemed a bit odd, it would have felt weird calling each other just friends when they had shared so much with each other.

They looked around and saw that everyone was busy talking. They then looked at each other and smiled. It felt so right to exist in this moment. It felt like just the thing that they should be doing. Chantal was surprised to realize that nothing had ever felt quite this right before in her life. She was glad to be experiencing this moment right now. She was glad to be in a situation where everything felt like it was exactly how it should be. That was how the world was supposed to work. That was how things were supposed to be.

She sighed after eating and leaned back. Michael was still a little hungry but she felt the need to talk about something that had been in the back of her head for a few minutes now.
