When Jason pulled away, Kate leaned against him, trying to catch her breath after he’d kissed her so deeply. His strong arms went around her and held her so tightly against him that she could feel his heart beating against her cheek. It was beating rapidly, the beat wild and fast.
“I guess I’m not the only one,” she quipped, and he knew immediately what she meant.
“That happens every time I look at you. You’re breathtaking, and you’re strong and amazing. The combination is more than my heart can handle sometimes.”
“Maybe you need a break,” she joked, coyly sliding her hand down between them and brushing her hand over his manhood through his clothes.
He groaned softly.
“There’s no way that I could ever get enough of you. Taking a break is for the weak.”
“Good to know,” she whispered just loud enough for him to hear. “Because I can’t wait to get you out of that tux.”
“Don’t you like it?” he teased.
“You look hot,” she admitted. “But I know what you look like naked, and the tux is a pale comparison.”
They danced through several songs, then reluctantly left the dance floor to eat their meal and go through the formality of being recognized for their bravery. Kate blushed furiously when they called her name and Eli talked at length about her achievements, but the soft yellow lighting of the ballroom hid the color that showed on her cheeks, and she was sure that no one was the wiser. Kate hated to be the center of attention, but it was almost over.
When the cake was being cut and served, she felt Jason’s hand close over hers. He tugged gently, and she gladly followed him from the short stage that the main table was on, down the stairs and out a small side door. Kate wasn’t sure if anyone noticed, but if they did, she didn’t care. It had been a long night, and she was ready to go to Jason’s house for the night.
When they walked out a door and into the courtyard, Kate let out a huge sigh.
“I thought that was never going to end,” she laughed.
“It isn’t. It will go on until two or three in the morning. Sometimes, they go until sunrise.”
“That’s insane.”
“It is, but there’s good news.”
“What’s that?” she asked as he kissed her neck in the cool night air.
“Everyone is occupied, and we have the entire courtyard to ourselves.”
Kate was startled by what he was saying, but the excitement that welled inside her was almost instant. She looked around at all the beautiful trees and flowers that were washed in the glow of the full moon. It was like a scene out of a movie.
Jason took her hand, and they walked down the narrow path that went around the courtyard and through the carefully maintained walkway that circled through the forest that surrounded the palace. She was filled with breathless anticipation, and when Jason led her down the dark, narrow path into the trees, her pulse quickened and heat washed through her.
“I’ve never made love outside,” she said, her voice still breathless with excitement.
“Let’s cross that one off your list, shall we?” he asked.
He didn’t wait for her to answer before he pulled her close, hands roaming over her body as he kissed her deeply. His mouth was rough against hers, his own excitement overflowing after hours of teasing each other under the table and on the dance floor. Kate had been toying with him all night, and he was more than ready for her.
Kate backed up, pulling him with her until her back was against one of the smooth trees. Jason kissed her as they walked, moaning as he did. His mouth was hot and sweet, his hands running over her body and leaving nerves on fire in their wake. When she felt him pulling her skirt up, she knew that he meant to take her right there and then. Her body hardened with anticipation as she helped him, unzipping his pants while he worked at the heavy skirt. She worked his swollen manhood out of his pants and stroked him tenderly, enjoying the feel of him in her hands.
He froze, her skirt gathered in his hands, an expression of profound longing on his face. He looked into her eyes in the thin rays of moonlight that penetrated the forest canopy.
“You’re so perfect,” he said. “I don’t know who I was before I met you.”
His words hit her hard, and she almost turned away. She knew what he meant, but he wasn’t making this easy on her. Their time together was nearly halfway over, and she didn’t want it to end.
She bit back the tears that threatened, her hands going to his hips and pulling him closer.
“Help me forget,” she said as she had so many nights before.
He smiled, dipping down and kissing her on her bare shoulder with a little nip, hips pressed against her. She laughed and kissed him roughly, then pulled away, still laughing.
“What?” he asked.
“I didn’t even notice that you took my panties off,” she said, giggling.
He slid his hands under her dress, cupped her backside and pulled her close. His erection pressed against her. She reached up over her head and grabbed onto the lower branch, using it to pull herself up.
“Genius,” Jason growled low in his throat as he stepped closer and guided her onto his cock.
He sighed when she slid onto him, then wrapped her legs around his waist and started thrusting against him. He held her up, his hands digging into the soft flesh of her backside, and he rocked her on his shaft. Kate lowered herself even more, taking the length of him inside her and closing her eyes when her body stretched to accommodate him. Her heat enveloped him, and she watched his face as he worked her into a frenzy, his movements steady even as she begged him with her own frantic thrusts to take her places that she’d never been before.
Hands going around her waist, he held her, forcing her to slow down and relish the moment, to forget that they could get caught at any moment. Kate closed her eyes when his strokes deepened, enjoying the feel of him inside her.
“I wish this night could last forever,” she said dreamily.
“So do I,” he said. “Don’t worry, I have plans for you when we get back to my house.”
“Plans?” she asked, knowing full well what he meant.
“There’s nothing else planned, and I don’t intend to let you out of my bed until I have to. I’m going to make love to you until you can’t walk straight and you forget your own name.”
Kate giggled at his wild plan, but she had never been happier. He was so wonderful to her.
Something in her expression caught his attention, and he stopped, still buried deep within her, his hands holding her firmly in place.
“What is it?” he wanted to know.
She sighed, then kissed him impulsively before she answered.
“The truth?”
