“Okay. Thank you for that, you know I never would have stopped reading once I started.”

“I do know that, but you don’t have to thank me, I’ll spend as long as I can trying to make you happy. Whatever that entails.”

She smiled and kissed him lightly, breathing him in.

“Oh, but you know what? A couple of people said you were the most beautiful woman they’d ever seen. Which I can agree with so, like I said, not all bad.”

She laughed. “What did they say about you?”

“Ahh, handsome, strapping, charismatic, the usual.”

“Oh yeah, I bet!” She roared with laughter. “No wonder you didn’t want me reading the comments.”

They spent the next hour preparing a breakfast of bacon, eggs, and biscuits, which Calvin insisted he cook himself. “So, as your client and new business partner, what’s first on our to-do list?” she asked, sliding a piece of bacon in her mouth.

“Great question. First, we’ll need to sign a contract where you’ll express your love and gratitude for me, and then you’ll describe all your hopes and dreams and I will then set about fulfilling them!”

“Seems easy enough!”

He laughed. “But actually we do have a lot to get done. You’ve got the place picked out so now we just need a timeframe and budget and we’ll handle the rest.”

Faydra couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear, realizing that her dream of owning and running her own store was about to become a reality. She had the store picked out and the budget planned, even the grand opening selection of new items—she was ready. And now that she’d decided to bring Queens Media Group into the planning she was even more confident that they would have a successful opening and an even more promising future.

“And there are no rules about dating your clients?” Faydra asked, again jokingly.

“If there were I would have gotten rid of them by now,” he winked. “And you’d never know they existed. But really, I tried putting one into place when Sophia and I broke up but half the interns were dating each other and some of the smaller clients, which at the time was some of our best business. So that never worked.”

“Okay,” she clearly already knew the answer to that but liked to watch him answer.

“We’re going to be alright, you know that? Better than alright. In fact, we’re going to change the game and we’re going to do it together.”

“Yes we are,” she said with a wink.
