Epilogue
Both the Kingston and the Washington Family turned out in their numbers to witness the marriage of the elitist power couple. There was barely any room left for friends, coworkers and acquaintances. All were garbed in their best clothes and a sense of festivity filled the air. Everyone exclaimed how lovely the blue and white decorations were and started to snap photos before the wedding had even begun.
The sun shone bright as if blessing the day and not a rain cloud was in sight. The bells were rung from the heights of the steeple located on top of the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, which signaled the start of the wedding. Harvey had pulled out all the stops to give Trish her dream wedding after she had him wait for over three years and counting, because it never seemed to be the right time.
The first person to walk down the aisle was the couple’s daughter Samantha bearing a flower basket in which she tossed white rose petals, she looked adorable in her frilly blue lace dress. On her right side walked Trish’s little brother in a matching blue tuxedo carrying the wedding rings that the couple would have exchanged. His task was also to keep Sammy in line as she tended to get mischievous if left unattended. Harvey promised Sammy that if she behaved herself she would get to see Disney World with mommy and daddy on their honeymoon. There was no way in the world Sammy was going to miss out on all the fun so she did everything Aunt Betsy showed her to do as planned.
Behind them followed the bridal party led by Betsy and Bryan as Maid of honor and Best Man respectively. The two bridesmaids were Indira and Cissy accompanied by two other close friends of the groom. Indira had designed the wardrobe for the entire bridal party so everyone looked smashing. Mrs. Kingston walked with her son up the aisle where she tearfully gave him a peck on the cheek and a hug before she returned to stand by her husband’s side in the front pew. Now that the bridal procession was over, everyone awaited the bride with baited breath.
She didn’t disappoint, she was beautifully resplendent in Indira’s best work, a bejeweled spectacle that on any other person would have looked gaudy but it made Trish a beautiful princess bride that outshone the sun.
The bride was radiant, there was no hint of nervousness and the groom was relaxed and impressive. Both were overcome with joy that the day had finally arrived and all anxiety had fled. Clive held on to his precious little girl for as long as he could before it was time to give her away. He was very pleased with Harvey, glad that his daughter had finally gotten a husband she truly deserved. He wished them fervently all God’s richest blessings and happiness. He warned them that marriage was not an easy road, that as long as they learned to submit to each other, neither being selfish and both considerate of the other’s well being, it would all work out because marriage was about working together in love and harmony.
Eventually the vows were exchanged and the Priest blessed them. The groom gave the bride the lustiest kiss ever as she had been out of the country for the last eight months. She had done a successful tour overseas as the face of Livingstone Cosmetics.
They had retained her contract even though she had been fired by Crimson Elite. Crimson Elite went bankrupt and eventually closed its door for business when three quarters of its staff left to join Trish’s new startup modeling agency financed by Harvey. Livingstone Cosmetics was Trish’s first and biggest client to date. The controversy that surrounded Trish had caused their products to sell like hot bread and tripled their annual sales. They offered her even more money whenever a competitor tried to steal her away for she was heavily in demand.

Trish had solidified her status as supermodel. Her pictures could be seen on billboards all over the world for different advertisements. As for the maternity line, the very first day, stock was placed on the shelves a rabid bunch of disheveled mothers to be descended on the stores, scared the store attendant’s silly when they were outraged that the boutique had run out of stock.
The day Samantha was born she had to have more security detail than the president as all the paparazzi wanted to get the first shot of the power couple’s precious bundle of joy. Schools from all over the world sent invitations to let the couple know that they were willing to give their daughter the best education that money could provide. Now that Trish had conquered the fashion industry, Trish had her heart set on conquering the next greatest role that could ever be assigned.
Which was the dual role of Harvey’s wife and Samantha’s mother. She basked in the heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. She knew that Harvey was proud of her despite her shortcomings and she felt the same way about him. It hadn’t been easy the past few years, she too had to learn to contain her jealousy at the scheming vixens that did all they could to entice and steal her man but always Harvey clung to her side like a rock.
She positively glowed when she thought about the vision of a beautiful handsome boy with Harvey’s features and Trish’s eyes that had seemed so real. She relished the nights to come when she envisioned making this vision a reality. Harvey had proven to Trish that nothing in this life was unattainable, their future was bright as he had fulfilled all her wishes that she made on the shooting star and more. Together with their growing family they could now live that impossible dream.
The end.
