No morning breath could dampen the fact that she was waking up in Harvey’s arms; the man of her dreams. She slipped out of bed and had a quick shower, she took out a bathroom robe from the open cupboard, and it smelled of detergent and Harvey. She inhaled deeply, then washed her face and rinsed out her mouth with minty mouth wash.

Now that she was the freshest thing in the morning, she felt full of energy and went into the kitchen to make them some breakfast from scratch. Harvey really needed to go supermarket shopping, his fridge was mostly filled with remains of takeout and his cupboards were empty. Breakfast would have to be scrambled eggs and toasted bread. They could wash it down with some apple juice that was still fresh but no tea because the milk was expired.

Soon the smell of food woke Harvey up much to his delight, after he too freshened up he joined Trish in the kitchen.

“Good Morning, need any help?” his baritone voice rumbled out of his chest. The sight of his muscled chest uncovered almost made Trish forget she was hungry. Almost.

“No need, I’m practically done, this is the last of the bacon though.”

“You’re amazing, it’s a wonder you were able to make something out of nothing, I’ve been putting off grocery shopping because I’m hardly at home.”

“Well if you need any help just ask. I can always pick up groceries for you when I’m getting things for my parents.”

“I may have to take you up on that offer someday, this food is delicious, compliments to the chef.”

Harvey was easily pleased, she could see herself doing the domestic scene with him for years to come.
