Jazmyn would normally drop her gaze if it were to be anyone else, but she’s drawn closer with Zack, always wanting him more. Her heartbeat was faster, and Zack’s face came up to her own.
He waited, listening and waiting for the moment, building up the anxiety, then he kissed her. At the touch of their lips, she blossomed like a flower. It felt like time stopped when Zack’s lips met Jazmyn’s, but the flutter only continued to intensify.
Jasmine’s heart pounded in her chest as her knees got weaker.
She could only now focus on how soft he felt against her mouth, how addictively he invaded all her senses. Lost in the moment, Jazmyn’s heart reacting, trying to concentrate on the raw emotion with the way Zack’s fingers curled around hers, and then Jazmyn’s phone rang for the first time.
It still wasn’t clear to her if this was a dream to her, but the second time that her phone rang automatically brought her back to reality. She parted her lips as her phone rang for the third time, feeling upset about someone trying to ruin her moment with Zack.
Under cursing and denunciation, she parted her lips and felt Zack washing over like a wave of warmth, curling her toes, unfurling all her senses as the taste of him nearly silence the thoughts; she wanted more.
She reached for her phone. With disinterest, she picked up the phone and mumbled, “Hello” Jazmyn had hoped that moment lasted forever.
“Hello Jaz,” Brianna said over the speaker with a fragile voice. The weak and delicate voice of Brianna over the speaker made Jazmyn more immersed with the phone call.
“What’s wrong?” Jazmyn queried anxiously.
“I can’t explain on the phone, can you come over to my place please?” Jazmyn passed a glance at Zack, who was already checking his time, and tries to mumble something, but Jazmyn didn’t quite understand what he was trying to say, she neared him, and he silently said, “I think I’ll take my leave now.”
Jazmyn made a sign, telling him to be patient. “Or are you busy,” Brianna said in her soft, breaking voice.
“No, not at all, I’ll be right there” she wouldn’t blow off her best friend during the time she needed her the most, even if its costs her precious moment with Zack. Turning to Zack, “that was Brianna, telling me to come over to her place and it sounded pretty serious.”
“Yeah, I figured.”
“Do you want me to drop you off?”
“I can drive there myself; you don’t have to stress yourself.”
“Who said anything about stress?”
Jazmyn dashed into her bedroom to pick up her bag and some cash. Zack and Jazmyn stepped into his silver-colored Porsche and left for Brianna’s place. On their way, Jazmyn mentioned she wanted to stop by a grocery store to get ice cream and munchies for Brianna.
“I’m sorry about tonight, I wish it would have gone differently,” she said as they approached Brianna’s abode.
“It’s no problem, we have a lot of time in this world,” he tried to assure Jazmyn, whose mind was already with Brianna.
“I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then,” she continued.
“Yeah, hopefully,” he said, stepping foot out of the car, sliding over to the passenger side to open the door for her.
“Thanks for the ride,” she gave him a heartfelt tight warm hug that lasted for about fifteen seconds, and she advanced towards Brianna’s house.

Zack
Sleeping peacefully in his bed, the day dawned crisp and clear, the light of dawn seeped into Zack’s room, causing him to stir. The bright-looking milky clouds got up from sleep and started traveling around the sky, visiting the excellent environment.
Usually, it was a simple task for Zack to wake up in the morning. After all, he believed early morning was for work, but it was a Saturday morning.
He groaned when the first beam of sunlight shone on his face. He rubbed his tired eyes as he walked towards the window. He remembered telling Jazmyn that he would try to show up at the bi-monthly picnic which Jazmyn and Brianna were volunteers.
Even though he was happy when Jazmyn mentioned that he should also be there, he didn’t want to seem too eager nor reveal too much emotion about Jazmyn’s idea, which was why Zack answered almost not interested when he asked her.
Coming out of the shower, he picked up a more casual outfit this time, which might be the first time he’s stopped himself from wearing corporate clothes since he was not heading to his office. A red shirt, he matched it with a pair of black Louis Vuitton trousers and shoes.
Zack, in his Mercedes Maybach, listening to some 90s jam, decided to get some gifts for the picnic. He felt it was a good idea if he came bearing gifts. He didn’t have many activities outside work, so he was looking forward to this event.
He tries his best never to be late to an event, even when he went to pick up Jazmyn for a date, he was right on time. Pulling up at Jefferson Foster Center, she spotted Jazmyn straight, even with a good amount of people present. He walked up to her with a bright smile.
“Hello dear”
“Hi, see who decided to show up,” Jazmyn said, looking up to Zack with her cinnamon-brown radiant face, with a touch of crimson red on her saccharine lips. “I thought you wouldn’t show up.”
“I not only showed up but, I also came bearing gifts,” Zack said with enthusiasm.
“You feel really pumped about this,” Jazmyn teased
“Maybe, what about Brianna, is she coming?”
“No, she feels really down about what happened yesterday.”

“Wow, is it that serious? Are you going to gist me about it later?”
“It’s not that serious and No, I don’t think so, girls talk,” she replied.
“So, I guess it’s me and you then.”
“Yes, pretty much.”
After having a lot of fun with the kids, singing children’s songs, storytelling, and eating a lot of junk food, it was then that it came to their senses that Zack would have to work tomorrow, the two of them ending up being tired like a landmine remover.
