It was now more than mere attraction to Ricardo. She wanted more with him, from him.

“I can literally feel you thinking,” he murmured.

She smiled slightly. “I tend to think too much.”

He lifted his head to peer down at her. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing is wrong. I just…I’m wondering what’s going to happen now, between us.”

“What do you want to happen?” He lifted a hand to caress her cheek.

Kyra shrugged. She was apprehensive about putting her emotions out there like that. “Don’t be afraid to speak your mind with me, Kyra.” Ricardo finally pulled out of her, leaving her feeling bereft. He laid beside her. “Tell me.”

She swallowed. “I just want more. You know, more time with you, more of you.” She averted her gaze. “I guess what I’m trying to say is that I would like to give a relationship between us a try. Oh, hell, I don’t know. I’m not good at this sort of thing.” Kyra shook her head and attempted to cover her face.

Ricardo caught her hand. “I get what you’re saying. I want the same thing.”

She let out a breath meeting his gaze. “Okay, I’m glad we had that talk.”

Laughter rumbled in Ricardo’s chest. “So am I.” He paused. “So you would be willing to be with me despite what I’m doing with my renovation project?”

Right. That. Kyra sat up and pushed her hair out of her face. “I’ve thoroughly considered that, believe me. I even tried to hate you but I can’t. I can’t stop wanting you.”
