“I did not… I guess I somehow believed that we were going to work everything out,” she said in a soft voice and at that moment, Michael knew that there was no way he could ever love her more. He pulled himself up and held the back of her neck before he claimed her lips in one long.

They looked at each other as they tried to catch their breath.
“Engagement ring,” he said as he looked at her and she frowned.
“What?”
“An engagement ring. That is what I should get you seeing as I never really ever got you one,” he said.
She smiled and shrugged.
“I wouldn’t say no to jewelry. You know what they say about diamonds.”
He leaned forward and kissed her.
“It would make a good apology gift too,” he said when he pulled away, and she nodded.
“You know what would make a good gift?”
“Tell me anything. Whatever you want.”
“Take me to Vermont,” she said. “Let us just leave the city for a few days.”
He reached for her face and pushed a curly strand behind her ear.
“Will that make you happy?”
She nodded.
“More than you could ever know,” she said, and he nodded.
“Okay. We can leave tomorrow.”
She smiled and bit her lip.
“You know, every time you bite your lip, all I can think about is fu*king you?”
Angela giggled.
“Why don’t we just let you recover first?”
He got closer to her and draped an arm around her.
“I love you so much, Angela… I can’t believe that I almost lost everything…” He planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. “I promise to always try and live up to my vows because I meant every word I said on that beach. Every single last word.”
Angela looked into his eyes and as they lay there, she saw him. The man she had fallen for. The man she had married. He had finally come back to her.
“I love you,” she whispered. “I am in love with you, and it freaks me out because you don’t even know my birthday or my middle name.”
“June twentieth, that’s my birthday,” he said. “And I have no middle name.”
She smiled and held his cheek.
“Christine, my middle name, and September ninth is my birthday,” she said.
He raised an eyebrow over the other.
“Christine? Two first names?”
“Yeah, my aunt told me that originally, my mum wanted me to be Angel Christine, or Angel Christie… but she wasn’t the one who filled the paperwork so, here I am.”
He smiled and leaned in to kiss her again.

“I don’t care if your name is Christine. It’s beautiful and I love it because I love you.”
He pulled her even closer and pushed her dress off her shoulder.
“Now, let’s see if we can get started on Vermont right here.”
She gasped when she felt his already hard co*k pressing into her thigh. They were both eager to make up for lost time and they were both loving the process. Every marriage might have had its ups and downs, but as they found out, it was how they came out the other side that determined if they made it or not and as far as Michael and Angela were concerned, they were succeeding so far…
The end.
