“Do you, Michael, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?” he asked, and Michael nodded.

“A million times, yes,” he said, smiling at Angela.

“And do you, Angela, take this man, Michael, to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do,” she said in a soft voice.

“You may now exchange your rings.”

Angela frowned.

“I didn’t…” she started before Michael reached into his pocket.

“Don’t worry. I’ve got this.” He took her hand and raised it to his lips. “You look like a size six to me, so I hope I am not wrong.” He began sliding the ring down her ring finger. “With this ring, I promise to love you and Brandon, be the best role model to him, and always protect you.”

Angela’s eyes welled up and as much as she tried holding back her tears, it was not really working. She looked down at her left hand, now perfectly donned in a yellow, white, and rose gold wedding band. It did not only look good on her, it was also a perfect fit. He placed a matching band in her hand.

“Your turn,” he said in a whisper.

She took a long, deep breath and bit her lip.

“With this ring…” She shook her head and looked up at Michael. “I don’t know what to say.”

“Say whatever is in your heart,” Michael said in a reassuring voice.

“Okay, Michael… ever since I met you, this has been a wild ride and I have been happier than I have been in a very, long time. So, with this ring, I promise to be your partner in more of these wild rides and be the best wife possible.”

She slipped the ring on his finger and looked at him, smiling.

“All right. With the power given to me by becomeanordainedminister.com and by the state of Hawaii, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride,” the minister said as Michael slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her into his arms. He held the back of her neck with his free hand and kissed her deeply.

“Hello, Mrs. O’Brien,” he said when he pulled away.

“Hello, husband,” Angela whispered.

“Let’s party!” Leanne yelled as the band began playing and the hula dancers began dancing around the newlywed couple.

Angela had been impressed with what the hotel staff had done as far as pulling together a wedding in such a short amount of time, but when they got back to their suite, she was even more impressed. The staff had transformed their suite into a honeymoon suite with candles, music, and rose petals.

“What… when did they even have time to do this?” she asked when they walked into their suite.

“Honestly, I have no idea. I am as surprised as you are.”

She looked at him, shaking her head.

“Why do I feel like you are not being so honest with me?” she asked. He laughed and pulled her into his arms.

“Well, it looks like I have a lot to do to make you believe me,” he said in a soft voice as he kissed her cheek. “Because this was a surprise for the both of us.” He kissed the other cheek. “The strawberries though… that was all me.”

She smiled as he lowered his head to kiss her again, this time on her mouth. This time, the kiss was longer and more intense. He pulled away and pressed his forehead against hers.

“I know that you are exhausted after the day we just had… you can go ahead and get to bed. I will join you in a few.”

He started to walk away but realized he could not because she was still holding his hand.

“Where are you going?” she asked.

“I was going to check my messages and then come to bed.”

She shrugged.

“I don’t know much about weddings, but I am pretty sure that people are not supposed to check their messages on their wedding night.”

Her voice was soft, and Michael could see that she was blushing even in the dim lighting.

“Are you saying what I think you are saying?” he asked in a soft voice as he looked at her.

He cradled her and planted a soft kiss on her forehead and together, they drifted off to a deep sleep.
