Robert picked her up and spun her around. “I don’t know why but I thought you might say no,” he said. He kissed her hard on the lips. “I just… I didn’t know if you would be ready, but I thought if I waited for reasons that were so arbitrary, I would never have gotten anything done in my life so I thought I’d ask just in case.”
Vanessa kissed him. She wanted him more than she had ever wanted him before. It was the lust of the moment, the lust that she felt because of the fact that he had proposed to her. She was pleasantly surprised by it, but at the same time she was extremely happy because she was finally going to get what she had been dreaming of for so long. She was finally going to get to marry the man of her dreams, the man that made her happier than any other man in the world, the only man she had ever truly been in love with that she had not regretted loving.
