Chapter 5
When Daniel got back to his suite, he could not help but feel silly. Even though his employees and friends thought he was the most eligible bachelor, the truth was that he had not been in the dating scene for a very long time. And the rules had most definitely changed. The way he managed to get Aubrey would obviously not work with Erica. While Aubrey was hyper and outgoing, Erica was cool and relaxed, more of an indoors person really. She was the kind of person who would obviously choose to spend a night in watching an old movie rather than go out to a noisy club. She was smart, and organized, and balanced. Maybe that was what had drawn him to her in the first place. The balance. He’d had enough of casual dates with younger women who thought a fun night out had to include a number of colored shots before going to get down on the dance floor. He walked to the fridge and grabbed a beer before he walked back to the couch. He sat down and switched on the TV and tried to push the events of the last hour to the back of his mind. He still had a hard on and the more he tried to forget about Erica the more the images of her flawlessly tan skin played through his mind like a slide show.
After a few minutes, it was apparent that his hard on was not going anywhere any time soon. He stripped off his clothes as he walked to the bathroom and turned on the water. Usually he would have taken a warm shower but today, he needed a cold fix. A quick cold fix. He shivered slightly when he felt the cold water run down his body as he tried forgetting Erica. He didn’t know how long he had been in the bathroom but the cold shower definitely worked. He had just walked out of the bathroom when he heard a knock on his door. He quickly wrapped a towel around his waist and then grabbed another one and dried off his hair and face as he walked to the door. He pulled the door open expecting to see one of the hotel staff with his mail or something but his jaw almost dropped when he saw Erica standing out there.

“I asked Emilio for your room number,” she said in a low voice.
“Care to come in?” Daniel asked as he stepped aside. She walked into his suite and he closed the door before turning around. “You okay?” he asked looking at her. She smiled and nodded before she brought her hand from behind her back revealing the Trojans he’d left in her room earlier.
She looked at him as he opened his mouth to talk but she really didn’t want to hear anything. She pressed a finger against his lips and shook her head.

“All better?” he asked.
“So much better.” She looked at him and shrugged. “I don’t even want to ask how you knew about the whole wet washcloth thing.”
