Neera looked up as the door opened and Billy entered the office. He was dressed in a sleeveless black t-shirt and jeans that looked like they had seen better days. He beamed at her as he went past to his desk.
“Hey, Neera. How are the books coming along?”
“Good.” Neera tapped the book she was working on. “I’ve nearly caught up with everything.”
It had taken two months of solid work, not to mention all the other bits of paper to file and catalog, but she had got there. Billy hadn’t been lying when he said he hated paperwork; the stuff seemed to be mocking Neera as she had sat down on her first day.
