“You’ve never had orgies?”
Kurt shook his head.
“I’ve never had the inclination. I’ve had a threesome but you kind of feel a bit left out if you’ve been drafted in and the other two are a couple.”
Neera shuddered, rubbing at her arms as if she was cold.
“I don’t ever want to have one. I want the undivided attention of one guy.”

He pushed this away. Now was not the time. He swallowed and coughed.
“It’s every woman’s fantasy to have two men having s*x with her, isn’t it?” He croaked.
“Not me. That’s too overwhelming.” Neera slumped in the seat. “Anyway, Jason kept calling me. He’d figured out what had gone on but after the cops went to his place twice to tell him to back off, threatening him with arrest, he stopped calling. He went quiet about a month ago and then he called me yesterday morning.”
“What would he say?”
“He wanted us to get back together.” Neera’s mouth twisted. “Neo must’ve been with him when he made that call.”
Kurt felt sick for her. He shook his head. Jason was some piece of work. Then he thought about his own problems and wondered if he was any better. He had never acted possessive with any woman before but when Neera was around he felt like he needed to be there to protect her. She brought out all sorts of emotions that he hadn’t experienced with a woman before.
“Look, Neera,” He began, “I’m not exactly boyfriend material. Hell, my relationships never last long enough for that. But I would never cheat.”
Neera arched an eyebrow at him.
“If you’re not boyfriend material then why would you say that?”
Kurt knew he was starting to act and sound like a contradiction. He shifted in his seat.
“I’m giving out mixed signals, aren’t I?”
“Lots of them.” Neera frowned at him. “What are you trying to tell me, Kurt?”
“I don’t know.”
Then Neera smiled. A smile that had Kurt’s co*k as hard as steel. God, she was lovely. Neera leaned across the seat.
“Maybe I can help.” She whispered.
Grabbing a fistful of t-shirt, she tugged him gently towards her. Kurt let himself go willingly and pressed his lips against her raised mouth. Her lips were soft, pliable and they shifted against his. They opened easily as Kurt brushed his tongue across the seams of her lips and his tongue dived into her mouth, tangling with hers in an erotic dance. Kurt pulled Neera to him and kissed her harder. Neera whimpered and arched against him, wrapping her arms around his neck as she kissed him back.
Kurt knew he had to stop. If he kept going he was going to end up doing something that would result in them getting naked in his car. He wasn’t an exhibitionist and he didn’t want to treat Neera with anything less than she deserved. And that meant a bed and something more romantic than the back of a car. He pulled away, burying his face in her neck as he hugged her.
“I think we need to slow down, Neera.” He growled, pressing a kiss to her jaw. “I don’t want this to go down too fast.”
“What do you want from me?” Neera asked. Kurt could feel her trembling.
“A lot.” He admitted. “I don’t know where to start.” He pulled away and cupped her cheek in his hand. “But I do know that you’re special. And I don’t want to walk away from that yet. Even though everything is saying I should.”
Neera’s eyes widened.
“Why?”
Kurt swallowed. He chose his words carefully, knowing it would kill the mood.
“Things have happened to people I care about. I told you that.” He brushed a thumb across her mouth. “I don’t want you hurt.”
“You could only hurt me if you blow me off after that kiss.”
Kurt couldn’t help but smile. He had a feeling things with Neera were going to be interesting. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and tucked her into his side.
He would take what he could. Neera deserved special and Kurt was determined to give her special. It was a far cry from what he was used to but he was focused on making things the best as he could for Neera.
It would take a lot of work but he was willing to make it work.

Kurt felt like he was high as he drove home. He had walked Neera to her apartment and kissed her again when he said goodbye. It was just as intense as the first one. Kurt had had to stop himself from taking it any further. While Neera was receptive to kissing, her body language said she wasn’t sure about the next step.
Kurt didn’t mind. He wanted to take his time with her. Neera spoke of something special and while his current situation may not be perfect, Kurt selfishly wanted to hold onto Neera a bit longer. His brother was going to kill him after making him promise not to pick up another woman but Kurt didn’t care.
Neera was worth it.
He was still in good spirits, thinking about his time with Neera and the upcoming date when his cell phone rang. Glancing at the number, Kurt groaned when he saw Pete’s number. His brother had an unnerving knack of calling when Kurt didn’t want to think about how Pete would go off the deep end.
Once he knew Kurt was considering another relationship, he would do just that.
The phone rang again in his hand. Kurt sighed and pressed the loudspeaker button.
“Francis.”
“You need to get over to the morgue.” Pete bypassed the usual greetings. “We’ve got another one.”
Kurt stiffened. Oh, God. Not another one. He pulled over and put the car in park.
“Another body?” He croaked. “The same way as the others?”

“Yeah. Bang on.” Pete sounded grim. “You need to get over here and identify the body.”
“You know all my exes. Don’t you recognize her?”
“I don’t know all of the women you’ve dated and I need you to confirm it. The only reason I know she’s one of yours is because of the letter K carved into her stomach. Just like the other girls.”
Kurt felt his stomach drop. Five girls since New Year. This was getting out of hand. After the second murder he had hoped it was coincidence that he had dated the two murder victims. But after the third, Kurt and Pete knew it wasn’t a coincidence.
It was a certainty.
