“What are you doing here? I thought I read somewhere that you are supposed to be getting engaged?”

“I am scouting around for rings.” He grinned as the man pulled up a chair. “I put her in charge of the company and I want to try to figure things out on her own.” He nodded to Marty the bartender to bring the bottle of scotch.

“You work fast,” Brad said in amusement as he poured the scotch into the glass Marty had brought him.

“When you see something wonderful you grab it.”

“I agree.” Brad sipped his scotch reflectively. He had been traveling for several days for business along with Leesa and had left her at home exhausted and sleeping. He smiled secretly as he remembered the ride home in his private jet and what she had done as she pulled the curtains.

“The flight attendant is going to figure out what we are doing,” he had whispered as she had pulled her designer sweater over her head and climbed onto his lap.

“Let her,” she had whispered huskily. That woman had the ability to spin him on his feet!

“I used to wonder why on earth you have that foolish grin on your face all the time. Now I know,” Jason said with a laugh.

“I am glad you do.”

“How was your first day as manager?” Jason asked as he rubbed her shoulders. They had taken a shower together and were now back in the bedroom. He had persuaded her to come back to the apartment with him and she had agreed. The boxes were still there unpacked and he was now wondering if he should bother. She was going to be running the company and he would be doing some traveling but not without her.

“I have a feeling that they all think I got the position while lying on my back,” she said dryly as she eased back against him. She was getting used to him, used to the fact that they were a couple as hard as it was.

“But you know differently and so do I.” He moved away and searched through the pocket of his jacket. He pulled out a dark blue velvet box and opened it. “I am making it official,” he said softly. “Please be my wife.”
