She licked her lips, teasing him. “So was that like last night?” It felt good to finally throw it out there.
Clay nodded. “What can I say? It’s hard to keep my hands off of you.”
Diana was not sure what she was expecting as a response. She knew what she wanted to hear; that he wanted her, desired her and that the passion behind the kisses were not a figment of her imagination. And he as much as admitted that when he told her he could not keep his hands off of her.
“How did it get to this point?” Once the question escaped her lips, she threw her hands over her mouth. It was not what she intended on asking him straight out, it was more of a thought in her own mind that she wanted to keep to herself. But it was too late. The words were already out in the universe.
He stepped in closer to her. “I am not sure how that happened. I was not expecting it. But sometimes there are things in life that just occur and you have to go with it. Just kind of ride the wave and there is nothing wrong with that.”
A light kiss on the cheek as he guided her back inside. Clay was the kind of man that would definitely keep her on her toes. Such an unexpected delight.
They found their way to the ballroom and danced the night away. Clay proved to be somewhat of an expert on the dance floor. Light on his feet and a natural leader, he twirled her around the floor as they laughed and took pleasure in each other’s company.
The music slowed down. Clay did a move where he spun her out away from him, and then quickly spun her in to his chest. Holding her hand with his and then his other hand on her waist, they swayed to the beat. A slow grooving jazz song played as the two of them were captivated by one another on the dance floor.
He guided her hips, almost grinding to the rhythm. Seductively moving to the music, the two of them seemed to be in their own world. Diana laid her head on Clay’s shoulder, feeling safe and secure with him. The way his breath lightly danced on the skin of her neck and the way he squeezed her hand, she was so completely taken by him. This man that at first seemed to be everything was a man she would fall for.
They danced for three songs in a row, and by the time the band took a break, it was a moment before Clay and Diana even recognized that the music had stopped. People were clapping to show their appreciation for the band and the two of them stood there, mesmerized by the connection between the two of them.

Clay pulled her along, taking her off of the dance floor. Diana was not sure where they were going next. She was getting used to that with Clay, expecting the unexpected.
They were on their way down the corridor, going back to their suite. Clay pulled her in front of him so she was standing between the door and his body. He slid the key card, gaining access to the room. His body pressed against hers, he pushed her into the room, slamming the door shut behind them.
