Amanda felt closer to Peter than she’d ever felt with anyone, even her ex-husband. Even her nana. It was an indescribable feeling, but she finally felt so content. She felt happy. She felt complete.
When they finally arrived at the BnB, they noticed that the snow had melted enough to show the garden Amanda prided herself on.
When they walked in through the door, they both sensed that it felt different. They both knew the air had changed. The little cottage was no longer just a Bed and Breakfast, but it was their home. Where they’d met each other, where they’d fallen for each other and where they would live together.
“Man, what an experience,” Peter remarked as he dropped his backpack and fell onto the couch. Amanda chuckled softly and followed his lead, dropping her bag before she collapsed onto the other couch.
“Yeah, what an eventful trip, hey.” She chuckled.
“I didn’t think a cabin could be so… Life changing.”
“Well, it has always been an amazing place. But I didn’t expect it to be that amazing either.”
“And thankfully I’m so paranoid otherwise it might have been a much different experience.” Peter glared at Amanda and they both burst out laughing.
“Paranoid? I thought you said that it isn’t paranoia, it’s being prepared?” she playfully raised her eyebrow at him.
“That’s because it’s the truth. In fact, I’m gonna trademark that. Put it on some hats and shirts. Gonna make a fortune,” Peter laughed.
Amanda imagined Peter trying to convince customers to buy his merchandise. She imagined him walking around wearing a shirt and hat that said “it’s not paranoia, it’s being prepared” and absolutely lost it. She started to laugh uncontrollably.

“It wasn’t that funny, but thank you. I’ll be here all week,” Petro chuckled as he watched Amanda laugh her heart out.
She looked so happy. He noticed it that morning and it had been all that he could focus on all day. She was positively glowing. She seemed so much more confident. She was practically radiating happiness.
It warmed his heart so much to know that he was the reason that she was like that. Yet, he couldn’t shake the guilt he felt for not having told her the truth. He wanted to tell her so badly, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. He didn’t know why, but he just couldn’t bring himself to tell her.
However, a part of him knew it would have to happen one day. And for some reason, he dreaded that day.
Until then, he decided, he would cherish every moment with her, just as he had done since he met her.
“Oh, I love you,” Amanda said, wiping away at the tears that had formed from all her laughter.
“I love you too,” Petro replied with a warm smile.
“Ugh, I can’t say it enough. I love you. I love you. I absolutely fu*king love you,” she exclaimed loudly.
“Whoa young lady, language,” Petro teased her.
“Oh, I’m sure Nana would understand,” she rolled her eyes.

Amanda did love him. She’d finally accepted it and she couldn’t understand why she’d taken so long to accept it, because she was happier than ever before.
She stared at the man sitting across from her and the realization finally hit her. This was finally her man. He was hers, and she was his. And the very thought of it brought back the smile that had adorned her face the entire day.
“I think we should go grab a shower and relax a bit. The tourist rush will be starting soon. Maybe even today,” Amanda said as she stood up and took a hold of Peter’s hand. She pulled him up and started to walk him towards the shower.
“Sounds like a great idea to me,” Peter remarked with a little chuckle and eagerly followed behind Amanda.
