Clearly Alexis wanted to dig into her skin and get a rise out of her. What did Dr. Benjamin say to do in situation like this? Whatever it was, it clearly wasn’t coming to her right now, she just needed to focus and remain calm. It was hard to do with Alexis standing in front of her and she could hardly see through the cloud of anger that was emanating out of her body right now. Just having Alexis talk like that about her dealings with Damon made her stress level rise instantly. How dare she? Trina might not want him for herself but she couldn’t stomach the idea of Alexis dating him. What in hell was wrong with Alexis? She was beautiful and could get any man she wanted why in tarnation would she go after Damon too. She never thought of Alexis as one of those women who never saw a good man and go after him unless someone else wanted him.
She thought Alexis was her friend she must know that deep down Trina cared for Damon she just felt she was doing him a favor by not getting any more attached to him since misfortune seemed to stalk her heels religiously. She felt nauseated at the thought of Alexis sleeping with her man. She arched her eyebrows at Alexis’ blatant declaration of war not even aware that both her hands were fisted at her side but Alexis noted this and felt very uneasy as Trina was a couple pounds heavier than her and probably could take her in a fight. Not that it was her intention to let things reach so far. She just goaded Trina into admitting that she had real feelings for Damon and needed to act before some other woman stole him away. Alexis was going to squash the bickering until Trina opened her mouth to speak again.
“You can’t be serious about wanting to pursue Damon. You are clearly not Damon’s type since he has never shown any interest in you prior to meeting me. Alexis I never saw you as the jump off type but I’m not surprise by anything you do anymore. Just keep your whorish mentality to yourself. I have already slept with him and I’ll be damned before I let you have my left overs. Leave him alone, you’re fickle and would leave him in a heartbeat for the next pretty face and deep pockets that come along. Don’t you have any self-respect left?”
“So because you rubbed crotches with the man and you are fully aware that the man is head over heels for you. It’s ok to string him along then deliberately ignore him. If I do it, it makes me a jump off, so what does that make you? How about cold hearted? You are cruel for toying with the man’s emotions like that and it doesn’t matter that you made a grown man cry. Damon is no longer your concern. I will take care of him and treat him better than you can in a million years. I’ll give him some good love and erase any memories he ever treasured with you. Trust me on this he will get over you in record time.”
Trina was outraged. “You Bi*ch!”
“Who you calling a Bi*ch? Pot calling the kettle black. I tell it like it is honey.” Retorted Alexis.
How had the conversation deteriorated to this level between them in the space of a few minutes? Now that they were at each other’s throats it was just too much to take. First she lost Damon now her friendship with Alexis was about to be severed it was just too much for Trina to take in. It seemed like everything was happening all at once. Trina started to feel hot around the collar and it felt like the room was spinning and her head was going to explode. Bile rose in her chest, she just had to lie down but her bed seemed so far away. Trina collapsed before she could make it to the comfort of her bed.
“Trina?…Trina answer me, are you okay?”
No response.
Alexis panicked and dropped to her knees beside Trina, it was like she was fighting for air and barely breathing then her breathing slowed. Her breathing sounding like her grandfather’s death rattle before he passed. To say Alexis was scared for Trina’s life was an understatement. No matter how she shook her she wouldn’t wake up. Alexis didn’t know what to do Trina wasn’t even the type to catch a common cold she had never seen her roommate ill in all the time she had spent living with her. She even hated the fact that she would have to leave Trina’s side to get her cell to call 911. What would she do if Trina died on her before help could arrive? She didn’t want Trina go out like this before they could make amends, it was time like this that reminded her of how short life was and how trivial certain things seemed when it was a matter of life and death.
“911 what is your emergency?”
“My roommate and I were arguing then she just collapsed right in front of me.”
“Okay Miss. I need you to stay focused and tell me what your address is right away.”
“It’s 105 Shady Oaks lane. Please you’ve got to send an ambulance she is barely breathing!”
“I’m already on your case. Sending a team over to your address listen for them please.”

“Thank you so much.”
“No problem. I need you to stay on the line with me until the dispatch team arrives is that clear.”
“Yes it is.”
Ten minutes later.
“They are finally here. I have to go let them in.” Alexis disconnected the call and rushed to the door to let them in. The paramedics assessed the situation and rushed to put the victim on the stretcher. Trina was in a deep coma and unaware of anything that was going on as they placed her body on the stretcher and placed her into the back of the ambulance. Alexis climbed into the back of the ambulance with the team. She lied to them saying she was her lover because she didn’t want them to leave her behind. While trying to answer all of the paramedics’ questions as well as she possibly could. They asked her if Trina had any religious affiliations such as being a Jehovah Witness should they have to give her blood and she said not that she was aware of. They also asked her to go into detail describing everything that occurred leading up their arrival which she did.
