Chapter 6
The pounding in her head was driving Nicole insane. Had someone hit her with a hammer while she slept or what? Groaning, the dancer turned around on her back and widened her eyes as she felt how soft and comfy this bed was. Sure, her bed was quite comfy as well, but this was on a whole new level of comfort. Nicole popped one eye open and checked her surroundings. This was not her bed, and this was definitely not her tiny bedroom. These satin sheets weren’t hers, and why the hell could she feel them rubbing against her skin? The dancer then noticed she was actually completely naked. Her heart started racing as Nicole tried to understand why she was naked in a stranger’s bedroom. Had she gotten drunk to this point last night? Worst of all, why couldn’t she remember anything?
The brown-skinned woman felt the mattress shifting. Looking to her left side, she saw that she wasn’t alone in bed. With a trembling hand, Nicole carefully lifted the sheets, trying to catch a glimpse of whoever it was that was sleeping by her side. She prayed that this person was at least wearing clothes, Nicole never had a drunken one-night stand and she hoped this hadn’t changed overnight. Her hopes were crushed when she saw the milky-skinned body of a male, a very naked male, who was sleeping with his back turned towards her.
Holy sh*t.
Her entire body froze when she took in the back of this man’s head. A blonde head. A white man with blonde hair.
No, no, no, no, no. It can’t be.

Lord, please, let this be a damn weird coincidence, I beg you.
Stretching over her companion’s body, Nicole tried to see his face. It had to be someone else. Her heart dropped to her stomach when Evan’s gorgeous face came into view. She’d slept with Evan. How had that happened? Nicole recalled being mad that he’d run off with that redhead, and then Evan came back and invited her upstairs to see the fireworks. They’d talked for a bit and then it was almost midnight and…Holy sh*t.
Evan had said those things that had set her entire world on fire and then he’d kissed her. Evan kissed her. Not the other way around. Was it possible that maybe, deep down in his heart, he felt something for Nicole, too? If only he hadn’t kissed her, Nicole would say that this was an outrageous thought. Evan Campbell feeling something for her? That was just impossible! But then again…he’d kissed her and said he thought she was prettier than those girls at the party…
Nicole closed her eyes as she remembered how they’d kissed for what felt like hours last night.
