It angered him that him staying with her couldn’t be a part of the plan if they wanted it to work. He felt like he was letting her down when unable to protect her to the best of his ability.
He felt like a fool suggesting this plan to her in the first place, he himself was having doubts about it, he truly wondered what she felt. Thinking of Lorraine in danger made his chest feel tight. He made a solemn vow to try and be around her as much as possible unless he had prior commitments that he couldn’t take lightly. He knew that staying away from Lorraine would be the most difficult challenge he would ever have to face down. Phillip hovered nearby his woman a stern taskmaster with an eye for precision and detail, nothing slipped past him. It explained how he came to be the billionaire he was today as he was relentless with every goal he pursued.
It was very hard to imagine any obstacle standing in Phillip’s way for too long for he was a force to be reckoned with. She finally got the hang of it and fired a few more rounds, when he told her it was time to wrap it up and call it night, Lorraine fired the last bullet and hit the target in the center. Phillip hugged and kissed her and brought her up close to him so she could feel his massive ere*tion, all that teaching with showing her how to center the gun, her bum on his groin, had taken its toll and he was horny as ever.

After another bout of hot, steamy s*x with Phillip. Lorraine felt it was time to catch up with her emails and pay her bills online. Nothing had changed business wise. She typed up a few rapid responses to people asking her if she was going out of business and if she could recommend another coach to them. She let them know they wouldn’t need to, she just took a break for two weeks and would resume classes upon her return. Lorraine never considered herself a workaholic until it seemed unusual to her clients for her to take a break. She resolved with herself to take more breaks in the future.
She loved her parents but she had gotten her taste of freedom and loved every minute of it. Should her business tank, she wouldn’t be able to manage her rent and bills and would have to consider moving back home to her parents. Just the thought of leaving Phillip behind when she had finally gotten a chance to know him better made her heart ache. This mini vacation with the help of Phillip made her finally put her life in perspective and stop blaming herself for Lucy’s death. Yes, both she and Lucy had succumbed to peer pressure but they weren’t the first and they wouldn’t be the last.
That’s the reason why she had such a special place in her hear for Patrick, he reminded her of a younger version of herself. She knew how hard it was for him to deal with his ridiculous mother and her machinations. She let him know that whenever he needed help and advice he could always come to her with his problems. She didn’t think she was undermining Rosie in any way or form just giving Patrick alternatives. Patrick wasn’t the only teen who had gotten her help throughout the years. She had several teenage girls confide to her of their pregnancy, and she agreed to be there with them when they told people about their pregnancies. She was always prolife but she respected their decision even when they chose to get an abortion. That was a decision she couldn’t make for them.
A light touch on her arm interrupted Lo’s innermost thoughts. She turned to see Phillip watching her with a bemused grin on his face. He was dressed in a red flannel shirt and blue jeans. His black hair wet like he had just come out of the shower and it clung to his forehead. His gray eyes sparked as her responding smile broadened.
“Checking up on your emails?” She nodded. He continued, “Don’t worry so much about work, dear, everything will work itself out. Lo I hate seeing you look so stressed.” He said gently in a voice that was deep and resonated across the room.
Lo exhaled slowly. “It’s hard not to be concerned, this is my livelihood, which we are talking about.”
“Trust in me and Steve, to figure this out, okay love.”
“Peachy.” She replied with a snort.
“I guess I sound a bit obnoxious at times, huh.”
“Maybe, I would like to think I can solve my own problems, although I know I need the help.”
“There is nothing wrong with needing help.”
“I know, I’m just used to giving it, not asking for it.”
“So it’s just a matter of pride then.”
“I guess so.” Lo said grudgingly.
Phillip chuckled. “You are just too cute even though I’m not sure what has you riled up.”
“It’s these comments that people are saying about us, about me being after you for your money, or sleeping my way to the top. Even though I know how mean spirited people can get. It still hurts.” Her eyes took on a faraway look.
“Come back to me Lo, forget about all those negative comments, your parents, your past, think about the good that you have going for you now, here you are surrounded by people that enjoy your company and love knowing the real you. You’re a great person Lo and you deserve the best, let yourself enjoy this break to the fullest, live a little, and enjoy my company as much as I love spending time in yours.”
Throwing her arms around his shoulders she gave him a quick kiss and a squeeze and said “Thanks for bring me here, Phillip. I really appreciate it. Being here is fantastic despite the uncertainty of the weather, you can’t help but feel at peace here with nature, you are right Phillip, and it really is like the negative comments can’t reach me unless I let it.

“Lorraine, don’t let these negative comments set you back so you can’t live your life to its greatest potential.”
“I’ll try.” Looking at Phillip, she smiled. “It’s the best answer I can give right now.”
Tucking her arm through his, he steered her down the corridor that led to the kitchen. “Let’s go and join the guys for dinner.”
As she fell in step beside him, she felt the rightness of it all, she and Phillip together, she was meant to be by his side. She was pretty sure of it now if she wasn’t a believer before. Here by his side was where she intended to stay. Just let Rosie or anyone else try to tear them apart for that matter, she would never give up Phillip without a fight.
The aroma of deep fried chicken and hot coffee hit her like a block of bricks. She hadn’t realized how hungry she was until she smelled the delicious food. The guys were already seated and were waiting on them to join them. Steve said grace and blessed the table and then the guys dug in, passing around bowls filled with hot steaming rice, your choice of vegetables, whether raw or stemmed, there was also fried ham and steamed fish with ground provision.
