It was a short walk, but I was still wary. I hated this area at night, especially since there have been reports of gang activity around this place. I didn’t think anything was going to happen to me, but then again I didn’t know. I started walking out of the restaurant into the darkness before me. Maybe this would all be okay. Maybe it would be easy for me and I could get to my car.

As soon as I walked out, I felt a presence. I turned around, and I saw a dark figure behind me. It smiled at me, making me feel weird. I didn’t trust that person, and I didn’t like the way things were looking. I had to get the hell out of here, even if it meant going in a different direction for a bit to throw the guy off.

I wasn’t too familiar with this area, but I knew that if I went east I would be able to get back to the park. I started walking that way, moving my body through the different alleyways. There had to be an open area around here, but as I continued to run I noticed it got darker and darker. I moved faster, and I could feel the other person following me just as quick. I didn’t know if I could outrun them. I really hoped I could.

It was then when it happened.

I slammed into a wall, causing a shocked feeling to course through my body. Oww. That fu*king hurt.

I rubbed my head, trying to come to. When I turned around, the figure was right in front of me. It wasn’t just one person like I’d thought.

It was three.

The two in the back smiled at me. One of the smiles looked fake, but the other was a genuine smile of pure evil. The one in front looked at me and licked his lips.

“I saw you leave. You look like a delicious meal,” he stated.

“What the hell do you want from me?!” I said. I moved my hand into my purse, slipping it in to find my switchblade. It was the only form of defense that I had. I had to get these guys away from me.

“We want you, my dear. We want to have you as a meal,” he cooed.

Before I could say anything, the man pushed me up against the wall. I felt my head hit the brick, a groan of pain escaping me. I looked around, but the only thing I could see was the black figure. I didn’t get a good look at any of this. The closest light was about a hundred feet away, and that was only a dim bulb.

The man grabbed my throat and pulled me up, causing me to choke. I tried to move my hands up, grasping for air. Was this how I was going to die? Was this the end?

The man licked his lips and then moved his tongue against my neck. I grew nervous, my body shaking with fear.

“You taste delicious too. I wonder what your blood is going to taste like. I bet it’ll be delectable,” he said.

My blood? What the hell did this man want with my blood? Was he what I thought he was?

No…it can’t be.

He’s a vampire.

The man dropped me to the ground and pushed his lips up against my neck. I felt his fangs jut out, puncturing my skin and causing me to scream. I felt the blood come out of my neck. The man started drinking it up, and when he did, I could see my vision grow even hazier than before. My strength was leaving me, and I could feel my blood draining from my body. I thought I was going to die here. I was sure of it.

“That’s enough. We don’t need her dead. Just knock her out and we’ll bring her to the cell,” one of the vampires on the side said.

I felt the fangs move from my neck as the guy looked at the other vampire.

“Will this woman really be of use to you?” the main guy said.

“Yes. Just trust me on this,” the other guy replied.

The head vampire shrugged and pulled away. Before I could say anything though, I felt a punch in the stomach followed by a kick to the face, knocking me unconscious. The last thing I remember seeing was the vampire who told the other guy to knock it off. He grabbed me in his arms and carried me, but at that point I was too dazed to speak.

What was going to happen to me?
