His fingers moved down under her chin, making her brain short circuit as he tilted her chin to have her look at her. The moment her black eyes met his stormy gray, she knew she was finished. “No, it was because you’re the only person on earth who somehow saw right through me and didn’t hesitate to call me out on it.”
